Schools

The spring and summer terms are the times when most schools arrange their days out. For many years Pili Palas has been a very popular destination – with a large number of schools, both local and further afield, visiting annually.

With "life cycles" and "mini beasts" being on the national curriculum – a visit to Pili Palas is both relevant and enjoyable. Whether you wish to make it a relaxing day out or an educational experience for your pupils and staff – we cater for both.

We provide half hour educational talks, with an entertaining video – about the life cycle of the butterfly - in our education room, followed by a tour of the centre with our qualified staff. This is a great opportunity for children to ask questions about the animals and get close to creatures of all kinds – when they can hold hissing cockroaches, giant millipedes and other creepy crawlies. All of this is available through the medium of Welsh, English or bi-lingually.

With so many schools visiting it is essential that you make a confirmed booking. We charge £4.95 per pupil. Adults and Teachers come in for free. Children are welcome to bring their own packed lunches or we can provide food for a small extra charge.
